Teamkollegaen til Henning Solberg kjørte av veien idag under de siste testene før helgens Rally Catalunya. Stohl og kartleseser Ilka Minor ble fraktet til sykehus og det er usikkert om de kommer til start til fredag.
OMV Peugeot Norway World Rally Team med Stohl og Minor krasjet stygt og ødela bilen kraftig. Avgjørelsen om de kjører til helgen blir tatt tirsdag morgen.

Manfred Stohl has accident during testing in Spain
The tests on tarmac for the “Rally RACC Catalunya Costa-Durada” on Monday morning in the vicinity of Barcelona already ended for the OMV Peugeot Norway WRT-duo Manfred Stohl/Ilka Minor after a few kilometres.
. The Peugeot 307 WRC hit loose gravel during a left turn and its rear crashed into a rock face which damaged the car heavily. Manfred Stohl and Co-driver Ilka Minor, who complained of rib- and backaches, were transported to a hospital where they are currently being examined. Whether the OMV driver will be able to take up the training for the Rally of Spain will only be decided on Tuesday morning.
It was planned to be the last testing on tarmac for the OMV Peugeot Norway World Rally Team prior to the start of the Rally RACC Catalunya Costa-Durada. The test course in the vicinity of Barcelona had been chosen because the conditions are similar to the ones at the Rally of Spain. But only a few kilometres into the course Manfred Stohl approached a left turn that should prove to be fateful. “It wasn’t a very fast turn, actually. But I tried to find a new, faster approach and that was when we got on loose gravel. The rear broke out and we hit the rock face with a vengeance“, said the OMV-driver of the circumstances of the accident.
The Peugeot 307 WRC was heavily damaged during the accident and Manfred Stohl and Co-driver Ilka Minor also didn’t get off easily. The OMV-duo complained of rib- and backaches. They were transported to the nearest hospital where they are currently being examined. Whether they will be able to take up the training for the Rally of Spain on Tuesday – and whether they will compete in the fourth WRC-run this season – will only be decided during the next days.
