Etter å ha testet den nye Ford Focus WRC 06 intensivt nå før jul føler finnen at han og teamet er klare for en ny sesong. Han og teamet er klare for å vinne noe.

Dette er Grönholm første uttalelser om den nye sesongen etter overgangen til Ford:

Both Timo and myself are excited about our two years contract with Ford. We are expecting a lot and so is the team. First tests in December in Sweden and France showed us that these expectations are well reasoned. All new Focus is not only fast but incredibly reliable after such a short developement.

A change always gives you an extra injection of energy and this is our first move after working seven years for Peugeot. It was a bit sad to leave the team where we have had everything in our career. We have a loads of nostalgic memories from the past years. Now we face the pleasant challenge of learning the way our new team is working and to get to know all the people involved.

It makes me feel confident when I know that it is not only me who is hungry for wins but the whole team has commited themselves to achieve success. Ford has won the Championship 1979 and Vatanen with a Ford 1981. Its about time...

I am very pleased with the new calendar for this year even though it makes our lives quite busy in spring and fall but gives us a long break during the summer. This allows me to spend a proper summer with my family for the first time.

Finally I would like to welcome you all here to our brand new website. I really believe that this will be much better functioning forum for all my fans and other rally enthusiasts.
